1st Sage 5K

Categories: Blog

The Sage School held its first-ever 5K on Saturday, May 5. With temperatures reaching the 70s, over 130 runners and walkers took part in the inaugural event. Sage parent, Jeremie LeClair of Foxboro took first place, and gifts were awarded to each age-group winner. Children six years and younger participated in a fun run before the 5K. Personal Best Karate of Foxborough performed captivating post-race demonstrations for attendees while volunteers helped face paint throughout the race.

Race Director Mirna Zelic was excited about the race turnout. “Sage is so thankful to the local community who were a part of this amazing inaugural event…the volunteers, the runners and walkers, all the generous sponsors, and those that made in-kind donations. Their contributions helped make this race a fantastic success! I can’t wait to lace up the sneakers for next year!”

The race raised $2000 that will go towards a local student scholarship to The Sage School.
