Faculty and staff were excited to officially welcome new and returning students to campus and their online classrooms for the start of the 2020-21 school year!
With additional health and safety protocols in place this year, The Sage School’s back to school plan includes new social distancing guidelines, mask requirements, a daily health screening questionnaire, changes to dismissal and arrival, and additional outdoor learning spaces.
Seventh grader, Rhys A., and eighth grader, Zoia L., of Service at Sage highlighted the new on campus safety protocols in the Service at Sage Safety Video.
Each classroom is also equipped with Owl Cameras so students and faculty may join the class remotely, as needed or on a more permanent basis.
Despite the unusual start to the school year, the community was eager to return to school, after transitioning to remote teaching and learning last spring as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Faculty took the orientation week following Labor Day to review and orient students to the new safety guidelines and academic schedules, introduce themselves and classmates both on campus and online, and begin the start of the school year.
On Friday, September 18, the community gathered for the first virtual All School Meeting of the school year. Faculty and staff shared what they are most looking forward to this year in the video slideshow below.
Here’s to a great year at Sage!
