Summer Sage is in full swing and for the first time, students from across the globe are engaged in the school’s innovative summer enrichment! In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all summer sessions from June 30 to July 31, 2020, have been offered in a virtual format for students entering preschool through eighth grade.
Prior to the start of the virtual class, students receive a box tailored to their weekly camp theme in STEM, arts, sports, and more. With the addition of The Sage School’s alumni teaching sessions like Girls Lead, Fun with Physics, and Basics of Movie Writing, students from near and far are able to explore their passions through hands-on discovery.
With the progression into Phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan, an on campus option opened for students entering pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. Exploration campers joined Ms. Alderman and Ms. Swanson on our campus in Foxboro, MA with added safety measures in place such as required mask-wearing, desk placement to enable social distancing, outdoor tents attached to classrooms, frequent hand washing and sanitizing, and daily health screenings.
Exploration students that participated virtually stayed connected with the on-campus class through the use of a Meeting Owl.
Week 2 of Summer Sage is coming to an end and our campers have been busy! Here are a few samples from the Summer Sage…
