Grade 2 Teacher
Kara is in her fifth year at Sage, having taught in the Pre-K and first grade classes, and is now a second grade teacher. Kara graduated Cum Laude from Roger Williams University in 2017 with a B.A. in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. Kara was granted STEAM certification after participating in an application-based STEAM student–teaching experience and implementing STEAM-related activities in the classroom. Kara is skilled at creating innovative lesson plans that are technology-based and also engaging for students. After college, Kara took a position as an event coordinator at The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, where she helped coordinate events that raised money towards finding a cure for ALS. Kara has a passion for DIY projects, going to the beach, and traveling!
