Lance Sun

Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Spanish Teacher & Grade 5 Cohort Teacher

Lance Sun teaches Spanish to Sage students in Grades 5-7. He is also Coordinator of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, a role designed to ensure that Sage remains a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning community. Lance came to Sage from Ross School in East Hampton, NY where he taught World Languages and Literature, as well as coordinated technology integration for all academic classes. Mr. Sun earned a B.A. from Middlebury College, an M.S. in Instructional Technology from New York Institute of Technology, and is an aspiring candidate of the M.A. in TESOL/Dual Language program at the University of Rhode Island. Lance is a native speaker of Cantonese and English, conversational in Mandarin, has been learning Castilian-Spanish since he was in 7th grade and is also known to dabble with Norwegian in his free time. He is passionate about all matters related to diversity, inclusion, and equity in education, gamification and human motivation as well as coffee cultures around the world.
