Lisa Troy attended Dickinson College, where she earned a B.A. in Policy and Management Studies and Environmental Studies, and the University of Montana, where she earned an M.S. in Resource Conservation. She has worked at independent schools since 2003: four years as a dorm parent and tutor and fourteen years as a science teacher. She started teaching at The Sage School in 2011. Lisa teaches science in fourth through eighth grades and advises in the upper school. She also leads the sustainability initiative and coordinates the STEAM Expo. Lisa loves teaching science at Sage and engaging her students in hands-on, inquiry-based activities. She loves the curiosity and passion the students bring to the classroom. Outside of Sage, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and dog, environmental issues, and applying the scientific method to cooking and gardening.
