Toddler Program

Toddlers (Ages 21 months to 2.9 years)

The Early Childhood program at Sage is designed to nurture and expand the innate curiosity and love of learning present in our youngest students. Through immersive, hands-on experiences that integrate multiple disciplines, we cultivate an environment where children feel empowered to explore, question, and discover. Learning is guided by the interests of the children, fostering a deep sense of engagement and ownership in their educational journey.

Our classrooms are dynamic spaces that encourage creativity, collaboration, and expression through a variety of materials and sensory-rich experiences. Educators serve as co-learners, carefully observing and supporting each child’s unique path of exploration. By valuing children’s thoughts, ideas, and interactions, we create a foundation for lifelong learning built on confidence, curiosity, and meaningful connections to the world around them.

As children transition from the Toddler program to the Beginners program, they continue to build upon this strong foundation of exploration and inquiry while being introduced to additional academic concepts in a developmentally appropriate way. The Beginners program maintains the same child-centered, hands-on approach, now incorporating early exposure to pre-literacy and number sense activities within meaningful, play-based experiences. Through storytelling, problem-solving, and creative expression, children begin to recognize patterns, symbols, and relationships that form the building blocks of reading, writing, and mathematical thinking. This gradual introduction to traditional academic concepts ensures that learning remains engaging, relevant, and rooted in the child’s natural curiosity, setting the stage for a seamless progression into the more structured learning environments found in our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms.
