Sage Students Earn Second Place at the International History Olympiad in Paris

This summer, Leo earned 2nd place at the International History Olympiad in Paris, France, a global competition that challenges students through written exams, historical simulations, and collaborative projects to foster critical thinking and a deeper understanding of history. Leo and Roman, a recent Sage graduate, partnered together and advanced all the way to the finals—an impressive achievement given that most teams had four members and they had limited preparation time.

Beyond the competition itself, the experience offered an extraordinary opportunity to travel to Paris and connect with peers from around the world who share a passion for history. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and teamwork made the Olympiad a wonderful learning experience and a reflection of the confidence and intellectual engagement nurtured at Sage. We’re excited to see more Sage families consider participating in future Olympiad events, continuing our tradition of celebrating excellence, collaboration, and a love of learning that extends well beyond the classroom.
