Sue Sullivan joins The Sage School as the Grades 6–8 Spanish teacher and Upper School advisor. Before joining Sage, Sue taught Spanish to students in Grades 4–6 at Derby Academy in Hingham, MA, prior to that worked in community education and NGO settings, including four years in El Salvador. Her teaching is rooted in a communicative, student-centered approach. Sue believes that language is more than a subject. It is a human thread that connects and opens the door to new perspectives. She strives to create a classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore not only the Spanish language, but also their own ways of seeing the world. Originally from the Boston area, Ms. Sullivan now lives in Massachusetts and enjoys exploring the city, holistic living and language learning in her free time.
