The Sage School Shines at Fall IAC Boston Regionals with 11 Medals and 22 National Qualifiers

The Sage School had a tremendous showing at the Fall IAC Boston Regionals, hosted by Star Academy this past weekend. Eighteen students in Grades 4 through 8 proudly represented The Sage School in the Science, History, and Geography Bees. The school’s strong showing was the largest of any participating school and captured the spirit of curiosity and engagement that defines our community.

Collectively, Sage students earned an impressive 11 medals across the three competitions. Twenty-two students qualified for the national competition, which will take place in Orlando in May 2026, and 17 students achieved scores high enough to advance to international competitions. These results are even more remarkable given the short preparation window of less than a month—an incredible testament to the students’ dedication, advanced knowledge, and love of learning.

A special highlight of the day came from our seventh graders, who swept the Geography Bee, earning first, second, and third place medals!

Beyond the medals and rankings, what truly stood out was the spirit of teamwork and support among our students. Even after completing their own rounds, Sage competitors stayed to cheer on their peers, filling the room with encouragement and enthusiasm. As one parent noted, the collaboration and positivity on display reflected the very best of the Sage community.

Congratulations to all of our participants on their outstanding achievements! And thank you to our amazing faculty representative, Melanie Levesque, for supporting this initiative for our students. Your excellence continues to showcase The Sage School’s leadership in gifted education—where curiosity, challenge, and connection inspire remarkable results.

IAC is delighted to announce that the Boston Spring tournament will be held on April 12th at The Sage School! This tournament, like all IAC Regional Tournaments in the U.S., is open to all students, regardless of state, as long as they have not yet played this set of questions in the 2025–2026 academic year.
